The Edwards family would like to thank Darin Scott for providing the opportunity for Chase to play on the Sharp Shooters during the summer. Darin is an excellent coach that focused not only on the core of necessary skills for a player at this age, but he also taught the kids how to “mentally” prepare for a hockey game or tournament. With such a short time to prepare this group; I was very impressed at the teamwork the boys displayed (which resulted in the tournament championship). If there is ever the opportunity for your player to be a “Sharp Shooter”, it will be well worth the time. Thanks Darin!

Our son participated in the inaugural Sharp Shooter team in the spring of 2009. It was an excellent opportunity for him to skate with a very talented group of kids. As one of the younger and less experienced kids it also provided a challenge for him to “keep up”. Darin did an excellent job of coaching and with the smaller group he was able to better focus one on one attention with all of the kids. Beyond the hockey experience our son forged new friendships with a great set of individuals.

The Sharpshooters was an awesome experience for our son, Jeffrey. Darin is able to attract the top kids in the area and takes the time to understand each player's areas of need and at the same time maximize the player's existing strengths. Jeffrey was a member of the original Sharpshooters '02 3-on-3 team, that played up in their age group to play kids that were up to 3 yrs older than him, and from then we knew that we had a special group of players that could further improve their potential with Darin's personalized coaching. It was very satisfying to watch the '02 Mites team hard training come to fruition at the SoCal King's tournament and leave as tournament champions. As in the words of Julius Caesar, 'We came, we saw, we conquered'.
